Marillion doesn’t tour the US very often so when they came in 2005 for the Marbles tour, I caught it at the Fillmore. I even ran into Steve Hogarth while I was checking into my hotel. They were not letting him sign in because he didn’t have any ID with him. He looked over at me in the middle of his argument with the front desk staff… I said I think that we were both here for the same show! He got a chuckle out of it and was able to finally check in when the tour management called the desk.
Marillion definitely has a connection with their fans and made it a point to see that they signed everything that was presented to them and take every picture with every fan that wanted one.
